Representative / Sales Agent Management
Posted by Tech Support on 01 May 2015 04:15 PM

3NG’s Private Label VoIP platform offers its Partners a Sales Agent module that allows the Partner to assign the agent to a Customer record for tracking and reporting purposes.

The Partner is then able to run reports on revenue generated by the Sales Agent so that he/she can calculate commissions for paid services based on their business model or commission structure.

How it Works.

Creating and Assigning Representatives to Customers

  1. The system label for a Sales Agent is “Representative”. You can see and manage your Representatives from the home screen of your admin portal. This is located in the same section as your Sub-Customers.
  2. Representative records must be created by a system admin (3NG) but are then managed by the Partner. Upon your request 3NG can create several ‘blank’ Representatives which you can then edit and assign accordingly.
  3. When editing a Representative make sure to populate the following fields:
    1. Representative Name.
    2. Initial.
    3. Needed details in Address Info tab.
  4. After the Representative is active you can then assign them to any existing or new customer record.
    1. Open an existing customer or create a new record.
    2. Click the Additional Info tab.
    3. Search for the Representative drop down menu and make your selection
    4. Click Save.
  5. Now you have assigned that Rep to that Customer.

Running Commission Reports

3NG provides it Partners with detailed Invoice Reports that contain the information needed to track paid invoices, with service subtotal details along with the assigned Representative. This enables the Partner to calculate commissions for different services on PAID invoices as needed.

The report will contain the following fields: Invoice #, Creation Date, Due Date, Billing Period From and To, Customer Name, Address, Invoice Status, Subscription Subtotal, Usage Subtotal, Manual Adjustment Subtotal, Taxes Subtotal, Amount Net, Previous Balance, Payments Received, Amount Due, Amount Open, Representative.

Collections, Etc…

  1. Visit the Support Center and log in.
  2. On the home page you will see an Invoice Export button, click it.
  3. Select a Date and Customer Range as well as your Export option then click Download. To work with the report in Excel select CSV. To import the Report to QuickBooks select IIF.
  4. Once completed open or import the report as needed.

Note* Although this report is commonly used to track sales for commission purposes its great level of details allows it to be used for several other operations as well like; Overall Sales Reporting, Projections,
